Science Channels on Youtube

Let's face it. Kids prefer to see some fun videos and cool pictures to help them understand a concept. That makes learning more fun. I'm ok with that. The problem is finding really great resources for my kids. The web is wide open, but I can't just let my kids run wild because you never know what they will find. Lately I have been trying to find YouTube videos for my space unit and embed them on my website. At first I had some trouble, but I did find some pretty fabulous channels.

Crash Course Kids may be a little higher level thinking than some of my kids can grasp, but there are some really interesting videos. I also like that they talk about a big question, investigations, evidence, and conclusions in their videos. Some of these would go along great when you are teaching scientific method.

Mocomi Kids has videos on how to draw, science experiments, and history and science videos for kids.

SciShow Kids is all about different science videos and they cover a range of topics.

SciShow Space is SciShow Kids with space in mind and answers some really fun questions for the kids.

StoryBots is for younger kids, but they have some cute songs and the dinosaur songs make me want to teach a whole unit on dinosaurs.
