Hollywood Themed Weekly Newsletter

Well here is another sneak peek into next year. Since my theme is Hollywood/Movies I wanted to update my newsletter. My newsletter has always been a little haphazard, but this year I wanted to make an updated and clean look.

This is the before. I'm not going to lie; it wasn't my best work.

Here is the new updated version! This makes me pretty happy.

My next step will be to at least get all the reading information in since I save my newsletter by reading story. This makes it easier if I use the template from year to year. If I decide I don't like the Hollywood theme I should be able to quickly change it up if I want.

Reading Wonders on Kahoot

So I know a lot of people are already using Kahoot and I'm not going to do a blog post on it. There are plenty of good ones out there. We used Kahoot last year and my kids begged to play it, but I was usually flying by the seat of my pants to create quizzes.

I'm devoting at least some of my summer to working with Kahoot and creating quizzes. Specifically I'm making Kahoots for the Reading Wonders series. I have the first unit done with matching vocabulary and definition, fill-in-the-blank with vocabulary words, picking the correctly spelled spelling word, and fill-in-the-blank with the correct spelling word.
